Mobile phones & driving

Using a mobile phone while driving is one of the most important reasons for the increasing traffic accidents, as research refers to this.

First I will begin with the arguments which are against the statement. The main argument is that most people need to phone most of the time and it cannot be abandoned, especially businessmen. Another argument is that mobile phones help to solve problems in the fastest time and from anywhere. Yet another argument is that mobile phones are an important part of life and are indispensable, especially in the present time.

There are also a number of arguments that support the statement. The main argument is that using a mobile phone while driving is causing major accidents where the driver was not paying attention to the road when he used the phone while driving. Another argument is that if the driver was waiting for a call while driving and could not reply then it may lead to tension which leads to the driver causing accidents. Research indicates that the percentage of deaths due to traffic accidents as a result of use of mobile phones while driving in the UAE is very high; therefore we must put stringent laws for the use of mobile phones while driving so that we reduce these incidents.

In conclusion I think that the road will be safer when you prevent the use of phones while driving
